We at Hugo’s Floors and More have been involved in wood flooring installation and restoration, and have been established for 60 years. The company originated in Europe and our craftsmanship is of a very high quality.
We specialise in the following:
- Insurance claims regarding damaged solid wood and laminate;
- Flood or water damages;
- Supplying and laying of new wooden and engineered flooring;
- We hold a large supply of reclaimed parquet blocks and antique Oregon planks;
- Relaying and/or the replacing of loose or damaged wood parquet or mosaic blocks;
- Laying, repairing and re-supporting of wooden strip flooring, for example Oregon, Pine and Canadian Deal;
- Sanding and treating – including decks;
- Supply and lay of Vinyl and laminate;
- Restoration of wooden doors, window frames, garage doors, shutters and skirtings;
- Safety and security compliant.
We have acquired a fully imported dust less sanding system from Sweden, which is state-of-the-art technology.
This system allows us to offer dust less sanding and even allows us to sand areas with the curtains and/or pictures hung. Together with our imported water based satin sheen sealer which dries very quickly and has no fumes, this technology makes it much easier for the customer. These products are top performers measured in certifications (DIBt approved) and have proved to be environmentally safe.
We also have our own formulation of sealer (put together from imported raw materials) which we call HHS (Hugo’s Hard Seal). This treatment is of a high quality, is hard wearing and the maintenance is minimal.
We hold a large range of different types of old parquet blocks, mosaic blocks and strip planks e.g. Oregon, Pine, Canadian Deal and many more which enables us to restore damaged areas.
We supply and lay new solid wooden and engineered flooring. All our work carries a guarantee, and we have completed major contracts such as the Artists Retreat National Monument, Hollard Insurance Head Office, Delaire Winery Stellenbosch, Cargo Carriers Head Office National Monument, Kempton Park City Hall, CEO Boardroom for Barlows Head Office, GVK Restorations, Japanese School and the German School to mention a few. We are members of the Wood and Laminate Association.
We also do work for various insurance companies such as Mutual & Federal, Outsurance, Absa, Standard Bank, Investec and various estate agents. We have even been contracted to attend to a property in Port Elizabeth for Outsurance in order to satisfy their client because no-one there (or here) had the expertise to do so.
